On September 2nd, we dedicated two banners that had been commissioned to reflect the obedience of those who have responded to Jesus’ call to come, follow, wait and go for him in many different ministries, but especially the Reader ministry.
Dedication of the Banners
God of goodness and mercy,
you know each of us by name and we are yours.
We give you thanks and praise for your Son Jesus,
who never turns any away who come to you;
we thank you for all who have served you in this place
and especially today for the ministry of Readers.
May all who come into this church and see these banners
and the words of truth they speak,
find in you that same assurance that you are full of mercy and goodness,
that you speak in this generation
and that we and all your creation belong to you.
