On 29th June 1940 the new parish church building of St Hilda’s Warley Woods was consecrated. On Sunday, June 28th we celebrated 80 years of faithful worship and mission to the parish of Warley Woods that has flowed in and through our church.  We were grateful to the Rt Revd Anne Hollinghurst, Bishop of Aston, for her sermon to us to mark this special occasion.

Music has been a longstanding and traditional expression of worship at St Hilda’s.  Therefore, on that weekend we also celebrated the Three Shires Music Festival which is an annual event held in the Warley Woods where many years ago the borders of Shropshire, Staffordshire and Worcestershire all met.
