The next walk is the annual Pub Lunch Ramble, which will take place on Saturday, 6th May at 12 noon. The venue for this is ‘The Nightingale’ which is an easy pub to find, just off the M5. Everyone is welcome to this event, which replaces the Sociable Social Evening this month; there is no compulsion to walk afterwards!! The pub isn’t far from Webb’s Garden Centre or the lovely town of Droitwich for those who want a bit of retail therapy after their meal. To get to the pub, follow the M5 southwards to junction 6 [Worcester North] and here leave the motorway and turn left towards Evesham. Go straight on at the first two roundabouts and again straight ahead at the third. About half a mile past this third roundabout you will see ‘The Nightingale’ on your left hand side. Drivers, allow about 45 minutes and please be there for 12 noon so that the meal can start on time. If you would like to come and join us, please sign your name on the list on the notice board in the outer porch and also PLEASE SEE DEREK, as you need to choose your food before we go and he has the menu!! If there is anyone who wishes to do the walk but not participate in the meal, please meet us at the pub at 1.30 p.m.[probably better to have small drink first so that you can legitimately park on the car park!]. The meal will take place regardless of the weather and, if it’s really a diabolical day, we will make a decision as to whether we walk or not when the meal is over. For further details, please see Derek or ring him on 429 8314.
