July sees the annual Sponsored Ramble, this year in aid of the Sunflower Fund, which is the fund to maintain our Children’s and Families’ Missioner for an extra two years. This year we will be based in the southern car park in Bewdley. As usual, the walk will be split into two approximately five-mile circuits with a break at the starting point for lunch. So, if you wish to take part but do not want to walk for the entire day, you can join us either for the morning or afternoon session. The morning session will start at 10.00 a.m. To get to the start, make your way to Bewdley and , when you get there, go into the town centre. When you have crossed the river bridge, immediately turn left along Severnside South and keep going alongside the river until the end of the road, when you will come to the pay-and-display car park. Drivers, allow about 45 minutes to an hour to be on the safe side – and don’t forget to bring a packed lunch with you! The afternoon session will start at approximately 1.15 p.m. but, if you intend to come for the afternoon session only, please tell Derek in advance so that we will know that we have to wait for you if by any chance we are earlier than expected. Please note that the walk will take place regardless of the weather. If you would like to take part in the walk, please see Derek for a sponsor form; if you aren’t walking but are feeling generous, please sponsor those who are walking if they approach you and remember to Gift Aid your sponsorship if you are able to do so. If you are not able to see Derek but would like further information, please ring him on 429 8314.
