MORNING WALKERS (AND DEREK)

AFTERNOON WALKERS (AND DAVID HICKMAN)

Next month’s walk is on Saturday, 24th November and we will hopefully be walking around Hadzor, one of the two walks that had to be cancelled last year due to bad weather. To get to the start, follow M5 southwards and leave at Junction 5 [Droitwich]. Turn right on to the A38 and continue past the Chateau Impney until you reach the traffic lights by its gatehouse. Here turn left and continue towards Droitwich centre until you reach the first main set of traffic lights and here turn left again on to the B4090, signposted Hanbury. Continue along this road, passing under the M5, until you reach the Hanbury Wharf pay-and-display car park on your left, a place that we have used before. You can easily miss this, so remember that if you come to ‘The Eagle and Sun’ pub on your right – you’ve gone past the car park! Assemble here for a 12.30 p.m. start. Drivers, allow about 45 minutes. For further information see Derek, or ring him on 429 8314 – and do this anyway if the weather is dodgy.
